THEORY MEETS PRACTICE: Hamburg’s YOUNGEST COFFEE ENTREPRENEUR visits OUR BILI CLASS IN YEAR 11

On 22 February 2024, students of our preparatory Bili class “Business Studies” in year 11 had the chance to interview Tim Elmenthaler (https://www.timskaffee.de), a former student of our school.

Before Tim did his Abitur in 2021, he had already started an online coffee shop at the age of 17. He was inspired by his experience gained at a small coffee roastery in Peru/South America.

Our students applied their freshly gained knowledge about drawing up a business plan in their Bili lessons. They flooded Tim with questions about his own startup – such as the legal business type chosen, the product’s uniqueness, his motivation, types of funding, marketing and management. And most importantly: the reasons for Tim’s decisions and his experience. Tim is studying Business Administration at Hamburg University keeping his “part-time job” as a coffee entrepreneur.

What an inspiring first-hand insight for our Bili students.

Many thanks to Tim and all the best for his business as well as his further university studies.
