German Language Diploma
What is the German Language Diploma (DSD)?
The DSD I is a globally recognized language certificate for German at the A2/B1 proficiency level.
The DSD I exam consists of four sections: reading comprehension, listening comprehension, written communication, and oral communication. It usually takes place in April each school year.
Preparation for the exam takes place during German lessons, where exam candidates receive targeted language support. In these classes, they train their reading and listening skills and practice creating their own contributions in German. Additionally, they learn various presentation techniques and independently prepare a presentation for the oral exam.
Experience shows that most newly arrived young people pass the DSD I exam successfully! The language certificates are awarded at the end of the school year in a festive ceremony.
