Training to become a Legal Administrative Assistant is both engaging and diverse — a profession with real prospects.

The three-year vocational training program imparts the legal knowledge essential to the role. In addition to legal competencies, the curriculum also develops teamwork skills, an understanding of economic contexts, language and communication abilities, and professional English.

The curriculum follows the official framework syllabus for the profession Rechtsanwaltsfachangestellte/r (Legal Administrative Assistant), dated June 27, 2014. You can download it from this website, along with the updated examination regulations from July 29, 2016.
The following learning modules form the foundation of the training:
- Presenting the profession and the training company
- Organizing workflows in a team
- Applying contractual obligations when preparing and handling agreements
- Enforcing legal claims out of court
- Managing tasks in the human resources department
- Recording, controlling, and evaluating business processes
- Assessing economic influences on business decisions
- Applying property law when processing legal matters
- Independently handling dunning proceedings
- Managing civil law cases in first-instance proceedings
- Supporting appellate and review procedures
- Processing enforcement actions
- Acting in matters of family and inheritance law
- Managing special legal proceedings

Professional Qualification
Legal Administrative Assistant within the Hamburg Training Model
- BS11 offers a professional qualification pathway for Legal Administrative Assistants as an entry point into the dual vocational training system.
- This program primarily targets school-age youth who, despite being ready for vocational training and actively applying, have not yet secured a training position. Young adults up to the age of 20 may also apply..
- Applications, including all standard documents, should be submitted directly to the school.
- DPlease note: initially, participants are considered students, not formal trainees.
