Kalimera from Athens
AI Training and Intercultural Exchange Beneath the Acropolis
A blue sea of ideas, historic backdrops, and the future of learning: thanks to the Erasmus+ program, two teachers from our school embarked on an exciting training mobility to the Greek metropolis of Athens. The goal? To boost our skills in “Content Creation with Artificial Intelligence (AI)” and make tomorrow’s lessons even more digital and engaging.
Digital Tools for the Classrooms of Tomorrow
In intensive workshops, everything revolved around how modern AI tools can be meaningfully integrated into everyday teaching. We tested a variety of platforms and put them straight to the test. Our highlights included:

Gemini Image Generation: Creating impressive visual content at the touch of a button.
NotebookLM & Prezi: Innovative ways to structure presentations and teaching materials quickly and interactively.
AI Music & Quizzes: Alongside serious pedagogy, there was plenty of room for fun. We composed hilarious songs using AI and learned fresh ways to design playful quizzes for our students.
Our takeaway on the tools: The future is now! AI doesn’t do the thinking for us, but it gives us fantastic new ways to motivate and inspire our students.
Small but Mighty: Intercultural Exchange
Although our seminar group was quite small—or perhaps precisely because of it—the exchange was incredibly rich. We had the pleasure of working alongside colleagues from Cyprus, Poland, and Lithuania. Through many inspiring conversations, we compared our school systems and built valuable European connections. It was a true look beyond our own horizons!
Culture, Culinary Delights, and the Energy of Athens
Of course, no trip to Athens would be complete without some sightseeing. Balancing out the brainstorming in the seminar room, we found plenty of inspiration under the open sky. We marveled at the historic Acropolis, indulged in delicious Greek cuisine (from souvlaki to feta, we tried it all!), and simply let ourselves drift with the vibrant, welcoming energy of this ancient yet modern city.
What’s Next?
We returned not only with plenty of sunshine and great memories, but above all, with a suitcase packed full of digital expertise. We are very much looking forward to sharing our newly acquired knowledge and these exciting tools with our colleagues soon! Stay tuned for the next training insights at BS St. Pauli.
A huge thank you to the Erasmus+ program for making this wonderful experience possible!
