What is covered in the Seminar course?
In the Seminar, you will develop skills that are essential for success in all subjects. You will practice various learning techniques, reflect on your study habits, and engage with academic methods and ways of thinking. This provides a strong foundation for your final exams and prepares you for potential university studies.

What will you learn?
In the introductory phase, you will acquire key techniques for independent information gathering, effective group collaboration, and engaging presentation design.
Building on this, the qualification phase allows you to apply your skills through a marketing project during the first semester. You will also become familiar with academic research methods in order to write a short extended essay on an economic topic.

Further core elements of the seminar include strategies for preparing for written and oral exams, as well as career orientation. For instance, you will create a professional application portfolio and receive training for selection processes such as assessment centers.

How does the Seminar relate to other subjects?
The Seminar is a two-hour course like any other and may be included as part of your Abitur assessment. The skills you acquire are widely applicable, although the content is specifically linked with Business Administration and Economics. This is why, for example, the extended essay is written on an economic topic.
