Vocational Training for Administrative Specialists in Labour Market Services
As a vocational school, we serve as the dual partner in the training of Administrative Specialists in Labour Market Services.
All apprentices undergoing training at the Hamburg Employment Agency attend our vocational school alongside their practical, in-company training. They benefit from our many years of experience in the field of social insurance, our close cooperation with training institutions, and a modern, comprehensively equipped learning environment.
Our vocational curriculum offers in-depth training on unemployment insurance while also providing insights into the wider field of social security. Apprentices gain fundamental knowledge in economics and business administration and acquire skills in economically responsible decision-making. These learning goals also apply to social topics, private law, and administrative law.
Moreover, we aim to strengthen the communication skills of future specialists — both in German and in English.
enrolment
Each apprentice typically attends five vocational school blocks of 7 to 9 weeks each over the course of the three-year program.
Enrolment usually takes place after the autumn holidays, allowing apprentices to first gain initial experience at their workplace and complete basic internal training sessions.
Your first day at school
The first day of school is designated as a “form teacher day”, during which students spend the day with their designated class teacher.
This day serves two purposes:
To provide apprentices — who often come from different companies — the opportunity to get to know one another and become familiar with the school setting.
To convey important organisational information: block schedules, class and break times, exams, grading, absence regulations, and shared behavioural expectations (see “Our School”).
Your training company will inform you about the exact start time. We recommend arriving 15 minutes early to get oriented.
