Study Trips and Exchange Programs

Class and project trips—both domestic and international—as well as the annual student exchange with our partner school in Mrągowo, Poland, are among the highlights of the three-year journey through the Vocational Gymnasium for our students.

In the preliminary year (11th grade), classes typically embark on a trip to a nearby destination, often Berlin. In 13th grade, the upper-level classes organize trips abroad as a group. These excursions are largely planned and shaped by the students themselves, both in terms of logistics and content, and are later documented as part of their academic work.

Every January, a ski and snowboard trip to the Alps is offered as part of the physical education curriculum. This project trip is assessed and factored into the students’ sports grade.

The Poland Project is a long-standing exchange program. We travel to Mrągowo, located in the picturesque Masurian region of Poland. Later, the Polish students visit Hamburg, where we organize a diverse and engaging program for them. They stay with host families and are accompanied by our students throughout their stay.
