State Debate Competition for Language Learners

“Debating in language learning groups combines targeted language development with civic education. Participants develop arguments for and against a given motion, learn the principles of respectful discussion, practise adopting different perspectives, and master increasingly complex sentence structures. In doing so, they strengthen both their communication skills and their understanding of democratic discourse.”

On Friday, 26 June 2026, we had the pleasure of hosting this outstanding competition. We are especially proud of our student, Wazhma Fayez from IVK24/5, who achieved an excellent fourth place in this state-wide contest.

We would also like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the other participants—you all did an outstanding job!
