Excursion to NDR with an RNT Class
The vocational school class RNT 23/11, comprised of prospective legal assistants, recently took part in the NDR project “Simply Media – Asking Questions – How Journalists Work!”. During this special excursion, the students gained fascinating insights into the daily working lives of professional media practitioners.
The day began with a meeting with journalist Johannes Tran, who spoke candidly and vividly about his career. He explained how he found his way into journalism, the tasks he handles on a daily basis, and the challenges inherent in the profession. The students seized the opportunity to ask him numerous questions.
A highlight of the day was the visit to the N-JOY radio studio, where the class was able to witness a live recording. This behind-the-scenes look at an active broadcasting environment sparked amazement and revealed the amount of technology and teamwork required to produce a radio show that sounds effortless on air.
To conclude the day, the students produced their own short podcasts in specially equipped rooms. They planned content, experimented with presenting, and worked with professional-grade equipment—a hands-on experience that powerfully complemented their theoretical knowledge.
The excursion offered RNT 23/11 a varied and enriching day, giving them the chance to experience media work up close and strengthen their communication and production skills.
