Youth Debates in Language Learning Groups

On Monday, July 14th, 2025, we participated in the “Youth Debates in Language Learning Groups” competition with two classes (IVK24/1 and IVK24/2). Janine Frommann kindly took on the organization of the event and was supported by Jerome Yarbrough.

Lotus Al Hattab and Sara Shemani from IVK24/2 made it to the finals and secured third and fourth place! As a result, they were invited to attend a two-day rhetoric seminar, sponsored in part by the HASPA Foundation.

We are incredibly proud of our students’ achievements after less than a year in the IVK!

Hasiba Bayan (VS27/4) also took part in the competition as a jury member.

In addition, on Wednesday, July 16th, 2025, our School Senator, Ms. Bekeris, presented the DSD1 certificates at the Ernst Deutsch Theater – a wonderful setting for this occasion. Mr. Vaccaro served as moderator, and the cultural programme was provided by Tanzbrücke. Aya Hussein (IVK24/2) and Najma Massomi (IVK24/3) proudly received their certificates – they have accomplished a great deal this school year, as have many others!
