From Hamburg to Lisbon – My Erasmus+ Internship at Finpartner

How can time abroad enrich your own training? As part of the Erasmus+ programme, I had the opportunity to complete an internship at Finpartner in Lisbon from 08 June to 03 July 2026.

My internship focused primarily on administration and accounting. My tasks included processing and prioritising emails, reviewing contracts and invoices, and following up on customer contacts. Particularly interesting was handling around 1,500 customer contacts, where callbacks, contact persons, and important information were documented.

Another key focus was digitising and organising documents. Among other things, I sorted invoices, tax and banking documents, as well as records relating to purchases and sales, and then entered them digitally.

Working at Finpartner gave me insight into the Portuguese working world while also expanding the knowledge I had gained through my training in the banking sector. It was especially valuable for me to learn new ways of working, become more independent, and further develop my language and social skills in an international environment.

Alongside work, there was of course also time to explore Lisbon and Portugal. My Erasmus+ stay was therefore not only a valuable professional experience for me, but a personal one as well.

I would like to sincerely thank my training company and Ms Petersen for their support and for organising my time abroad.

Kind regards Tiago Leite
