Class Trip to Frankfurt am Main

Our journey began early in the morning at 6:29 a.m. from Hamburg Central Station—everyone arrived right on time.

Our first stop in Frankfurt was the local Chamber of Crafts. There, the head of the Start-up Center introduced us to their responsibilities and initiatives. Afterwards, we checked into our youth hostel in the charming district of Sachsenhausen, which offered a beautiful view of the Main River. That evening, however, we opted for dinner at the hostel rather than visiting the traditional apple wine tavern Wagner.

The following day, our guide Till led us with great precision to the new Deka branch. There, we attended a series of presentations on various financial and macroeconomic topics and were treated to excellent catering. Afterwards, we visited the stock exchange, where we encountered the iconic bull and bear statues. Naturally, we took the obligatory group photo and even touched the bull’s horns for good luck.

The weather that day was beautifully spring-like, so in the evening we spent more time walking along the Main and exploring the city.

The highlight came on the final day with an invitation to KPMG Law, located in THE SQUAIRE at Frankfurt Airport. The speakers had prepared thoroughly for our visit, and one of the firm’s managing partners also took the time to answer our questions. From time to time, planes flew remarkably low directly over our conference room, adding a unique atmosphere to the experience.

To conclude the trip, we all enjoyed a meal together at Peter Pane Burger before Deutsche Bahn brought us home—late, but safely.

It was a wonderful shared experience that brought us even closer together.
